Cooperation with CSIC, KIPOR Enter the Market of Nuclear
Nuclear power is recognized as a kind of green energy, its security, economy and environmental protection has been recognized around the world. The mainland's installed nuclear power capacity will reach 58 million kilowatts in 2020. As one of the key equipment to ensure the safe operation of nuclear power plants, security power supply need to ensure maximum reliability of the equipment and satisfy high technical requirements for various related performance parameters. The requirements include: large capacity, high reliability, fast start, good loading perform.
Ten years efforts make for today's success
As early as 2006, Kipor has successfully developed V type high speed diesel engine. The engine has the features of compact size, high power density, high efficiency and low fuel consumption and emission, together with other benefits such as low maintenance results into low operation cost, long maintenance interval thus low down time and a high degree in automation control. After years' effort, KIPOR V type has reached world class in both performance and reliability. In 2016, CSIC and KIPOR have achieved the intention of cooperation, which brought KIPOR V type diesel engine and genset into the market of security power supply in nuclear application.
According to the cooperation, KIPOR will offer 5 sets of KD12V171ZLA-1 diesel engines and 3 sets of KDE685E3 gensets to CSIC. These machines will be used in BOP plant of Karachi Pakistan K-2/K-3 nuclear power project.
